How advanced galactic societies are organised
By Tim Reeves
I need to begin by defining this concept:
Perception Throughout Space and Time
I’ve proposed the name PTST for an underlying characteristic of our physical universe, which facilitates ESP and can be proven through your own experience. To my knowledge it has until now not been formulated by physicists. And it’s important to underline that we are talking about what is perceivable for our conscious minds – not more, and not less.
- Perception
Perception beyond the five materially based senses in the conscious mind of the being making the experience. PTST covers factual information and also mind to mind communication. A fascinating question is implied: The role of mind in existence. - Throughout Space
PTST works independently of separation in space. ESP regarding events on Earth can often be verified, be it on the other side of the Earth. But that’s a minute distance compared with the vastness of space. I have had personal experiences spanning our galaxy. Therefore I understand “Throughout Space” to include at least the volume of our Milky Way galaxy. - and Time
My own ESP experiences span the subjective present and thousands of years into the past – given the appropriate keys to mediate the experience. The subjective future has not been any part of my experiences. But seen logically, conscious beings in the far distant future could reach back in time in their perception and perceive everything which went before. In this sense, I see the description “Throughout Time” as justified.
My visions of societies orchestrated via PTST
Before we dive in: No really advanced societies have anything like money, the whole idea has been dropped. This is because money is a tool born of greed and at the best an expression of not trusting others to do their bit for the common good. In fact, in galactic community societies there isn’t even a question of trusting others – everyone knows that everyone else will do more than enough for the common good.
Non-separate anarchies
To quote Wikipedia on anarchy: “Anarchy is the state of a society being freely constituted without authorities or a governing body.” Seen from the current status quo, this may conjure up negative pictures of chaos and lawlessness – and indeed, as human beings are right now, it probably would (initially) be like that. But that’s not what I mean. I’m writing about what I term “Non-separate anarchy” – which is what automatically happens in a spiritually mature society. Try to imagine how it would be when each individual can truly say of every other individual: That’s me. How or why would I exploit myself? How could I not respond when I am hungry? How for the love of God could I and some others make war on another group of ourselves? Raving Madness!
Spiritually advanced civilisations have no need of any external governing structure, because all individuals live their lives for the good and well-being of all. This happens partly as individual cognitive processes. But also the individuals are more open to, and connected with, patterns of consciousness at larger, conglomerate levels (all facilitated by PTST). Thus the impulses for individual spontaneous decisions and actions are often an expression of a group mind, achieving a harmony of action otherwise not attainable. So in a sense, these ‘anarchists’ do have an organising component – but it is nothing top-down, instead it is an expression of a single group mind, realised within Perception Throughout Space and Time, in which all involved or affected are represented.
True freedom is when rules are no longer needed.
Low-tech example society
This is a really old race, whose individuals have very meagre demands on their environment. The teaching of the young includes no facts to be learned parrot-fashion, so no schools are needed. Rather, mature individuals drop by on impulse to the communal crèche, and enjoy being and interacting with the young ones. The shelter they need is holes dug in the ground, the little food they require (for the young) is grown by themselves in gardens. Crime is unknown, indeed inconceivable. So: No rich or poor, no striving, winning or losing, no schools, no shops, no elections or government, no news in a conventional sense, no judiciary, no police – and very definitely no armies. Think this sounds boring? To current humans it might be – but the lives of these beings are lived mainly on the inside, in the realms of awareness and perception, in the fullness of Perception Throughout Space and Time. This makes their lives very vivid and involved on a galactic level. Due to a lack of common experience for understanding them, to most humans they would appear ineffable.
High-Tech example society
A race based in space, on space stations and in spaceships, with occasional visits to planets to replenish and diversify on stocks of air, water, earth and seeds. Their recycling is way beyond anything humans yet have, but small losses are unavoidable. This is a really high-tech civilisation, which entails very advanced personal skills, manufacturing facilities and a high degree of care about all jobs to be performed – or we’ll all be breathing vacuum… How can this work without any governing body? Like this: Trips on the spaceships are agreed on beforehand, with various roles to be fulfilled, whereby most individuals have more than one skill set. So during the voyage, everyone does what they agreed to do before setting out. There is no captain – whoever is currently in the pilots seat is the effective organiser if anything non-routine crops up.
On the space stations there is a physical jobs board on the living space ring, with lots of slips of paper-equivalent on it. Each one lists a job needing doing today, or possibly for several days. By current human thinking this could be organised more efficiently electronically – but there’s no hurry, no money to be made or lost, no competition forcing cost-cutting. And it’s much nicer to meet others there, to share some words about who fancies doing what while making sure that the important jobs do get done. Who puts the job slips on the board? The individual who takes the slip of paper naming exactly that job does it.
We could consider a lot of other types of beings and civilisations – aquatic societies, hive minds, beings of pure ‘energy’ (i.e. non-corporeal) – the point is, it can and does work fine as an anarchy – provided the (apparently separate) individuals are grounded in the ultimate truth of the non-separateness of all beings in the realm of consciousness.
